This is my portfolio of work done before, after and during (but all outside of) my employment by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR). I worked as Senior Graphic Designer at the DNR from 1979–2003; for the most part it was a fabulous job and I could fill up hundreds of pages with examples of the work I did there, about which I am very proud. Some of this work is findable on the DNR web pages; some is not. I could fill a similarly massive number of pages displaying the work I did after I left the DNR, for my own business—Union Street Design, LLC—from which I retired in 2018. Starting my own business turned out to be an extraordinarily good step for me and I had some fantastic clients and did interesting work, but it is probably less findable than examples of stuff I did at the DNR.
You will find very few examples of DNR or Union Street Design work here. THESE pages are mostly about what I have done (as we used to say in fannish circles) "in my copious spare time," much of it for no remuneration, all of it for love, and quite a bit of it for the benefit of worthy, charitable organizations. |
